Sister Lily’s Book Launch

On Saturday, 11th October, the community of St Mary’s Abbey, Glencairn, was delighted to host the launch of Sister Lily’s new memoir, From Croke Park to Glencairn. Friends, neighbours and supporters gathered in the Abbey to celebrate with her—a joyful evening that reflected both Sister Lily’s warmth, and the kindness of those who come to our monastery.

Father Willie Ryan of Dungarvan was guest speaker for the occasion, offering thoughtful and appreciative words as he paid tribute to Sister Lily’s lively storytelling and honest reflections. His words set a lovely tone for the evening, which continued with tea, coffee and plenty of conversation as guests shared memories and laughter.

It was a memorable celebration of Sister Lily’s achievement and the strong bonds that link the Abbey and local community. Her memoir is now available to purchase through the Glencairn Abbey Shop.
