Sister Angela receives the Cistercian habit

On the feast of St Bernard, 20th August, having completed her six-month period of postulancy, Angela Finegan received the Cistercian habit, initiating her entrance to the novitiate at Glencairn for a two year initial formation period.

At the ceremony, a private occasion attended by the community in the Chapter room of the monastery, Angela received the Pax of each community member, an embrace and a gesture of the promise of prayer for her by each one as she begins her novitiate years in the monastery.

We rejoice in welcoming our new novice and pray that she will be blessed greatly by the Lord in her response to Him. We invite you to join us in praying for Angela at this important time for her in her vocation journey.
