As we were all booked up for our last monastic vocations weekend in March for women finding out more about Cistercian life, we would like to offer women who are discerning their vocation another chance to come to Glencairn for a weekend experience of monastic life before the summer holidays. Our next Monastic Experience Weekend will take place on 3 – 5 May, 2019. Participants are welcome to arrive from Friday afternoon/Friday evening, until Sunday after lunch. We can help those who are depending on public transport to drive you to and from the monastery, the nearest Bus Eireann bus stop is in Fermoy, Co. Cork.
Cistercians lead a balanced life of prayer and community, solitude, service and hospitality. Monastic experience weekends offer you a chance to experience the rhythm of Cistercian monastic life from the Abbey guesthouse. You can read some of our vocation stories here. For more details please email Sr Sarah at firstname.lastname@example.org or you can phone her at 058 56168 and dial extension 6. We look forward to hearing from you.
