Solemn Profession of Sister Denise Vaccaro ocso

On June 4th, 2012 Sister Denise Vaccaro made her Solemn monastic vows as a Cistercian Nun of St Mary’s Abbey, Glencairn in the presence of the community and friends. She was consecrated by Dom Augustine McGregor, Abbot of Mount Melleray Abbey, Cappoquin, Co. Waterford.

Sister Denise, from New York, U.S.A., began her religious life in New York as a Missionary of Charity with whom she served as a missionary sister for some years before transferring to the congregation’s contemplative branch.

In 2007, Sister Denise entered St Mary’s Abbey, Glencairn.

Congratulations and blessings to Sister Denise as she makes her self-offering to the Lord in the Cistercian way of life and may she find growth and joy always in her monastic fidelity.
