Sister Anna changes her vow of stability

On the Feast of All Saints, 1 November 2011, Sister Anna Bakutala ocso changed her vow of stability to this community, becoming a permanent member of St Mary’s Abbey, Glencairn.  Sister Anna took her first steps towards this special day when she came to Glencairn for the first time in August 2007 having entered Cistercian life in Uganda in 1988 in the monastery of Our Lady of Praise in Butende. 

We joyfully welcome Sister Anna as a solemnly professed member of the community here in Glencairn and pray that she may lead a happy and fulfilled monastic life here as she “runs in the ways of the Lord”.  (Rule of St Benedict).
