Another New Postulant Enters Glencairn

Following the entrance of Emma Brady to our community in September, we have had the joy of welcoming a second Postulant to our community in October this year. Grace McCann entered Glencairn Abbey on 2nd October, 2018, Feast of the Guardian Angels. Grace comes from Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland. She is a graduate of All Hallows College in Dublin, where she studied Theology and Philosophy. Grace first visited Glencairn in September 2017 and made a number of visits to the community during her vocation discernment, gradually getting to know monastic life and the sisters through her observership experiences with us.

We wish both Grace and Emma every blessing as they settle in to their Postulancy and pray that they may find their hearts’ desires as they continue to discern God’s call in the months ahead.

Grace, I wish you every happiness and inner fulfillment as you listen and live in response to God’s invitation. It’s wonderful Emma has a peer and the great women in Glencairn who have already pronounced their “yes” much feel so enriched and blessed to welcome yourself and Emma. My silent and sincere prayers are with you all in Glencairn. Kathleen
